Braeside Information

Braeside is a residential neighborhood in the south-west quadrant of Calgary, Alberta. It is located north of Anderson Road, south of Southland Drive, west of 14th Street SW and east of 24th Street SW.

Established 1965, Braeside is located in Calgary's southwest and has easy access to Fish Creek Provincial Park, the Glenmore reservoir and the Southland Leisure Centre. Located by the Braeside LRT, as well as the city’s bike path system allows for a quick or leisurely way to the downtown core. This community caters to all individuals young and senior. The Braeside Community is home to the Childcare centre: programs including “Sensational Summer” (offering field trips and/or events). The Girl Guides and the Boy Scouts run out of this centre and numerous programs geared specifically toward seniors such as bowling and potluck suppers). Braeside also puts on a number of special events each year, notably, the annual Halloween party, Stampede Breakfast, Fall Fair, Community Garage Sale, and Family Fun Skates.
